Project D is a special street racing team who are specialists in drifting uphill and downhill on mountains. Not only do they drift in mountain passes, but they also appear to show their excellent driving qualities in the streets of 'Drift City'. Project D is a small team, but consists of drivers that are tremendous in their own unique way that are on a higher level from other people. This seperates

the qualities of the members in Project D and other teams that have been created. Their objective is to show that they're the best team there is. They believe that they can achieve this objective by defeating any crew that decides to to challenge them. Project D can only show their true art of drifting through any obstacles that's thrown to them. By showing everyone else that their drifting skills is at it's peak, then this shows that Project D is able to concentrate and focus on their driving when their opponents are trying to pressurize them. This is what seperates them from other crews.
